Who: Susie and Jake
When: Afternoon
Where: Medical Pavilion
What: Susie's first day volunteering.

Susie had been so excited with her first day so far. She had become in turns all of the following: bubbly, serious, studious, and bubbly again. There were few things in the world she wanted as badly as to help people.

By this time, she had a pretty good grasp on where the basic, first-aid supplies were. After all, she had spent plenty of time here as a patient. And she had been curious then too.

It left her capable enough to provide some preliminary assistance to the man who came in just when the Pavilion had reached its busiest part of the day. He had been given a room, but it would be another minute before a doctor would become available. Susie came in to see what she could do to help. If nothing else, she could fetch a doctor if it was an emergency.

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Ralph & Open
When: Afternoon
Where: Ancient Elven Palace
What: Ralph explores the deader places of Elysium AKA who wants the creepy necromancer?

Ralph traced a finger over the edge of chest. Dust came off of the metal frame, stuck to the tip. He inspected it, flicked it away. He stood up again. He wondered what was inside. Maybe dusty old clothes from a few thousand years ago or rotten papers. Ralph doubted anything of value laid inside. If it did he’d take it. No questions asked. Letting go of inhibitions became easier as of late.

He kicked the chest. It barely shook. Something was inside of it. Ralph crouched down and looked for a lock. It didn’t have a padlock. A lonely keyhole sat in the middle of the framework. Ralph chewed the inside of his cheek. It wouldn’t be hard to open. He got up and searched the room for a crowbar. What were the chances they’d have one up here?

After he tore up one more bundled heavy sheet of velvet from the floor he gave up. Nothing was here for prying open chests. Ralph snorted, swatted the dust away from his face. Why did I come here today? Ralph thought. “Oh right,” he said out loud. “I’m being adventurous.”

Adventurous away from people. Quieter, deader places of the world appealed to him. Like the mausoleum, the palace was far away from town. People didn’t come here often. Ralph turned around. He didn’t expect a guest standing in the doorway.

“Well hello,” deadpanned Ralph. He raised his arms. “Find anything interesting?”

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Elliot, Nico & Zach
When: Midday
Where: The Café
What: Boys will be boys

Today was the day for the boys to hang out. Elliot didn’t know Zach and Nico for long. In fact they were talking about video games when they distracted Elliot from work. He took his lunch break and sat down with them. They were cool guys as far as he could see. They shared a few laughs over the campiness of the Final Fantasy series, admitted to playing Dead or Alive for the realistic boob bouncing and praised World of Warcraft for its ability to addict for days on end. Oh, lets not forget the multiple hack and slash masterpieces.

Yeah, Elliot could see himself being friends with these guys.

“Quick!” exclaimed Elliot. “Without pausing, name the best action flick you’ve ever since the age of nine? Just go with it. Don’t think about it!”

He wasn’t giving them a single second to ask why he picked nine. Elliot didn’t even know that. He was flying by the seat of his britches. They covered video games, sports and movies. The only thing left was babes and the guy talk was complete.

Women was bound to be the longest topic. Good thing they saved it for last.

Who: Adrienne and Jason [Narrative]
When: Afternoon
Where: Adrienne's cottage
What: Adrienne ventures outside for the first time since she was rescued.

She could feel the full moon tugging at her, pulling at her from deep inside. It was like an itch she couldn't scratch, and the only way to get rid of it was to burn off the feral energy that raged inside of her. In truth Adrienne didn't want to leave her house, and she struggled with the decision for a few hours before she finally did leave.

"Are you sure you don't want any company," Jason asked her just as she was slipping into her shoes. Adrienne smiled at him, and knelt down to tie her shoes.

"I'll be fine," she answered with as much energy as she could muster. She couldn't lie to herself; she knew she was a little on the jumpy side, and she looked a little more frail than usual. She could, however, lie to those people around her if only to make them feel better. "Jase, I swear, I'm fine. Really." She tied her shoelace tight, and stood to her feet to face her brother. She didn't like lying to her family, but they had been wrought with worry ever since she was taken that she couldn't burden them with any more.

You're not fine. I can tell. )

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Elijah and OPEN
When: Early evening
Where: Silmé Lagoon
What: Fun in the water?

It was the calm serenity of the lagoon that called to Elijah today. That, and the constantly warm water. Being a water elemental didn't mean he had to tolerate the frigid temperatures of the other lakes. He could, but he didn't want to. The elemental remained floating on the crystalline surface of the lagoon wearing nothing but a pair of black and white boardshorts he had bought in California a few years ago. His arms and legs were spread away from his body, and Elijah couldn't remember the last time he felt so relaxed. The water lapped gently against his form, and it nearly lulled him to sleep were it not for the occasional nips he felt against his skin.

"Hey," he said to the fish beneath the surface. "Stop that." He laughed to no one in particular, and moved his body to scare the fish away. He returned to his peaceful state of mind, and closed his eyes to block out the world even for a moment. If only shut eyes were powerful enough to make all of the fucked up things in the world go away permanently. Elijah wished for that sometimes, but he knew it was impossible. Still, those few moments of tranquility were something, and Elijah treasured them.

The elemental sank his body beneath the surface, submerging his body completely for a few seconds before he came up again. The water was warm against his skin, and he had calmed the waves until it was perfectly still. He took a deep breath, and opened his eyes when he felt something moving in the deep waters beneath him. He turned his eyes to the side to look just when something came up from underneath, and knocked into him. Elijah rolled to the side before he was pulled underneath leaving nothing but the smooth surface of the water behind.

ooc: I thought it might be fun if someone spotted Elijah getting dragged under, and freak out because of it. ^^

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Kelchek and Cree
When: Morning
Where: Cree's Forest Cottage.
What: A meeting, a revelation, and a new friend??

Kelchek woke up with the rising sun and had a journey on his mind. He quickly got dressed in blue jeans and a fresh tee shirt, and threw on a light jacket before leaving his loft. He wasn't in a hurry, but he didn't know how long it was going to take find his destination. He might be able to ask for directions, if he ran into anyone this early in the morning, but didn't know how well known this Eichmann Herbs was, and decided that the forest cottages would probably be an easier place to ask for. The small tab of paper holding the address was tucked away in his pocket, though he doubted he would forget the address.

The walk was quite a bit more than he had expected. Though it wasn't that long, he wouldn't have minded if yesterday had yielded him a horse friend. He walked at a somewhat quick pace, eager to find out what this shop could offer him. He needed more herbs, but not the kind that you openly purchased. Items that are used by only those advanced in healing, or those used for poisons, were things that had to be handled with discresion. He eventually slowed his pace after deciding that he didn't want to arouse suspicion by arriving right as the place opened. He didn't know when that was, but later was always better.

So he walked in what could have been the wrong direction for a little over an hour and a half before seeing the edge of the forest. He continued towards it until he could see the edge of the cottages peeking out from around the trees. He reached the cottages themselves shortly after that and proceeded in finding the right one. It wasn't hard as each one, though spaced apart, was clearly numbered. When he reached the one he was looking for, he stopped at the door and looked around. He was pretty sure that it was someone's house, and the polite thing to do would be to knock, but it almost felt rude. What if they are sleeping? He listened to the quietness behind the door for a few moments before lightly tapping on it. If anyone was sleeping he was sure that it wouldn't have disturbed them.

Who: Billie and OPEN
When: Afternoon
Where: The Library
What Meeting a new face

There were a few things that Billie could speak up about. One of those things included telling others to keep it down in the library. Sure, she felt like that old lady everyone hated. But she was trying to have some peace and quiet. The clairvoyant really didn't want to hear the same gossip over and over again. Billie was relieved that the kidnapped girls were found and that things would be a little less...well..murder mystery. But, the library was no place to talk about such things in her opinion.

She was tucked away in one of the aisles and was actually using the fairly tranquil space to write in her journal. In her opinion, no one was to old to write in a journal. Even if it had unicorns and other slightly cutesy things she wasn't quite as fond of anymore.

When she heard yet another loud conversation begin, she crawled to the end of the aisle and craned her head over. "SHHH!!" After that was all said and done, she returned to her writing.

Who: Dione Castel (& Dexter Castel)
When: Late Night, Sunday Feb. 17
Where: Dione's Bungalow
What: Dione deals with once again being (again) the one who survives.

It was late. Sometimes people forgot that the blind could tell time in the same way that others had done before they had that artificial construct of watches. Dione felt the hour on her skin, in her bones, and in her blood. She had been on the bench, staring out the window, paying little attention to anything. Occasionally she heard mumbling. Well, it wasn't actually mumbling, Dexter was talking to her in low tones. Low soothing tones which had so much less to do with words than it did with presence. There had been a lot of that throughout the last two days. Ever since they brought her back, he had talked to her, told her all kinds of things, stories and lies.

He wasn't right for you )

Who: Marcus and OPEN
When: Evening
Where: The Wine Bar
What: Picking some essentials up for the restaurant

So even adults still played the "not it" game when it came to doing something productive? Well, Marcus was learning something new everyday! Like how one might be offended if their weight came into play on who should walk down to the Wine Bar to get various booze goodies for the place. When the threat about his jugular meeting a butcher's knife arrived, he decided it was time to set out. Man, who would have thought men were sensitive about their weight too? Not that Marcus wouldn't have made the comment to a female either.

It was too cold out for the shit sweater the Lycanthrope brought. So Marcus stole a jacket from an employee and made ways. When he arrived, he opened the door but didn't bother to hold it open for a couple that was right behind him. What a gentleman.

He wasn't surprised to find the place busy. It was never too cold to have a few drinks with friends or a stranger. Or to just get drunk by yourself for that matter. But for once, Marcus wasn't among the drinking crowd.

Arriving at the bar area, Marcus tapped his hands impatiently on the counter. "Yeah. I'm here to pick up some shit to bring back to the restaurant and since I'm freezing my balls off and would love to get the journey back over with can you hurry it up?"

He gave a cozy little smile to the bar maiden while she checked for his items. He really didn't want to wait around.

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Hugh and Chloe
When: Afternoon
Where: The Cafe
What: Meeting a friendly face

Hugh was one of the many people guilty of not weather watching. Though he could obviously tell it was miserably cold outside in his opinion, he never expected another windy day to arrive so soon. It wasn't really a big deal for him since most of his day was spent inside the sanctuary of the Art Supplies Shop if not home. Sadly, it was still quite cold inside. People left the door open, or a rush of cold air seemed to be trapped inside the facility.

Though windy in the Afternoon, the Cafe was hardly a journey from the Art Supplies Shop. Dressed in a warm jacket, he somewhat jogged towards the area and asked for a regular cup of coffee. The server was kind enough to offer that Hugh seat himself and she would bring the hot beverage to him.

Hugh sat in the way back and set down his sketchbook that he brought with him everywhere. While he waited for his coffee, he flipped to a new page and began to look for inspiration.

Outside he saw a young woman standing outside. She had somewhat of a calm expression on her face, but she appeared to be glowing with energy despite the feature. For the hell of it he tried to draw her, starting with her hair blowing carelessly in the wind. She was at a perfect distance. He didn't feel like some creep for continuously staring at her. Especially when trying to get her facial features correct.

But when she began to walk into the interior of the cafe, Hugh flipped to another page and pretended to be working on his nearly finished sketch of the Arts and Trade Enclave.

Shit, shit shit. The medium kept telling himself, hoping that she didn't spot him looking at her. He hated confrontations. In fact, he was trying to figure out what his excuse was going to be. I don't know. Drawing you. Mind sound very creepy.
